BIOGRAPHY
Daniel has long been a student of the visual arts. Through an enduring career in print-media, in teaching and in graphic design, Rice has immersed himself in the life and profession of an artist and educator.

From his early days at Indiana University, to formal art training and architectural studies at such institutions as Oxford University, The Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies - Keeble College, The University of British Columbia, and The Seattle Academy of Fine Art, Rice has pursued the visual arts as one of his heart's greatest passions, as well as his life-long calling.

Daniel has conducted field research in public art forms such as murals, and fresco cycles in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, England, France and Italy. Rice frequently conducts museum tours and lectures on both historical and contemporary subjects in the fine arts. Rice's own works focus on beauty and intelligence in image-making through refinement of composition and patience of skilled execution.

Dan has served as art director and creative director for publishers and advertising agencies. His paintings and sculptures have been commissioned by private patrons, churches, colleges, and businesses.
